Perinatal Psychotherapy

Bringing a child into the world is a uniquely vulnerable time for our psychological wellbeing. Old wounds may resurface, and unprecedented stressors can take a toll. In fact, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) are the most common complication of childbirth. The good news is, they are highly treatable, and even preventable. One of the most effective ways to treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders is through supportive psychotherapy. As an experienced perinatal mental health clinician, I am passionate about helping new parents find strength, confidence and peace as they integrate parenthood into their identity. Whether it's your first, second or fifth child, a new baby always brings new stressors and emotions, but together we can help you find your footing and thrive.

I also enjoy working with adults of all ages and stages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, or challenging life transitions. Together we can explore the underlying factors that are holding you back and help you develop the skills to cope, and the insight to move forward.

Creating a safe and trusting relationship between therapist and client is essential. I bring a warm, authentic and empathic approach that allows us to take an honest look at what you're experiencing, how you got here, and how we can help you move forward with greater peace and clarity. I consider myself an eclectic therapist and draw from several therapeutic modalities and techniques, including:​
